Faculty Bio

Dr. Olabiyi had the opportunity to pursue his academic endeavours at Universities in four countries: Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada. His professional journey began with a PHIRNET-funded Post-Doctoral Fellowship. Since he began teaching at the postsecondary level in 2011, he has received 6 nominations for the Instructor Excellence Award at SAIT. In 2015, he was a recipient of the NISOD Teaching Award. Outside of work, he immerses himself in the world of music, learning to play the bass guitar (although he considers himself a beginner) and indulges in biking with his wife and children.
